[00:00:00] Hey, welcome to this bonus episode of Daring Creativity Podcast, and unlike the last two seasons, previous seasons. There is no audio book. The book, deving Creativity is still being written, and this podcast is my creative lab showing me some of the ways that could be observed in on the path of creativity, creative life.

But what I wanted to do with these bonus episodes, to actually shine a light more on the conversation from early in the week and pick out a few quotes from my guests and zoom in on them a little bit more because. Sometimes we just listen to conversation. We say, Hmm, that was fun and carry on. But with the people on this season's list, but I.

With every single episode, there is so much value that my guests share with me that I now have the opportunity and, and the platform to share a little bit more and pick out some of the, you know, uh, uh, moments from the conversations that really stood out to me. [00:01:00] So I'm going to share three quotes from my conversation with Donne Goed, and, um, yeah.

Um, thank you for joining me. And I would like to share three quotes from Donne Go Said, and why I believe they matter.

Now, this is where we insert the purpose of my work is always trying to go difficult, rude in terms of the process, and that's kind of what I try to embody within the project. So that's where the guest audio stops.

Danae: the purpose of my work is, is always trying to go in the difficult route of things in terms of the process, and that's kind of the, what I try to embody within all of the projects that I tackle.

So I believe that quote. I believe this quote reveals Dunne's creative philosophy that deliberately is choosing difficulty over ease, and I think it leads to more meaningful and distinctive work.

As I said in our conversation, it's not what many people would choose or admit because we look for easier, right? No one wants to admit that they are creating a difficult life for themselves, whereas when Donna said that. I immediately realized that dedication to her craft, because in a world where efficiency and shortcuts often prioritize her commitment to the difficult route creates her signature aesthetic.

I mean, you can see that's work of art and work of [00:02:00] love and work of dedication and obsession. And that mindset reminds me of the Japanese concept of the way of tea where. The process itself becomes as important as the outcome, creating that sort of depth and auten, creating that depth and authenticity that clients sometimes can't find elsewhere.

And I think it's important for our creative outcomes, and I think it's important for our creative work. The second quote,

the second quote, I would like to put China on. Uh, the second quote, the second quote I would like to highlight is this one.

This is where the audio goes. It felt like breathing for the first time. I wish I had not like a map of my brain to see where I'm sure it was like fireworks everywhere.

Danae: Second, I stepped foot and inside of the school of Visual Arts, it's like I knew that I was in the right place and it's like I had fireworks in my brain and starting, because I was always considered like a lazy person during all of my upbringing, like my entire school set studies. Like I was, I, I was lazy, like, to be fair.

Um, and then I transferred myself into like a work machine where like I could not stop thinking about work and working. And I started to do like 16, 18 hour days fully. Like, I was just like weekends every single day became obsessed with it. Like I, and I didn't [00:03:00] think that I was, that I could ever find the, this fuel in me.

I believe this quote is a beautiful illustration of when moments of creativity just simply click because it captures that transformative moment when someone's discovered that.

I think it just captures that moment when someone discovers their true calling. Her description on finding animation and design work illustrated a profound shift from struggling to fit in in the conventional no. It illustrated a profound shift from struggling to fit into conventional educational system and experiences pure.

And to experience pure creative flow for very first time. And I think this quote will resonate with anyone who felt like a misfit until the proper medium and expression showed up. Because it demonstrates how it does demonstrate how environment can unlock previously hidden potential. The last quote I wanna showcase is this one.

Now we insert audio. When the student is ready, the teacher shows up.

Danae: I think, I don't even know who said this, but it's this, uh, quote that says, when the, and I know it in French, I'll, I'm translating in my mind it's, uh, when the, when the, when the student is ready, the teacher shows up.

So this is the first quote that actually Dne told me in person when we met at,   this is the quote actually Dne [00:04:00] told me when we met in at Paradiso in Mexico a few months ago, and it was that moment where when you listen to people's live stories and they tell you a little bit about themselves, but then they pick up a quote, which more or less summarizes .

Everything about what they do. So if you were, if you listen to my conversation with Danee and, and if you listen to the full conversation that I, uh, published with Danee just a couple of days ago, everything that she's done, it feels like the, everything that she's done does feel like that. Her teachers, her mentors, her guiding lights.

Showed up when she was ready because for most of the time she wasn't. So I think it speaks about a magical synchronicity that can occur when people are prepared to receive guidance. And is there somewhere a connection between what you do and when your teacher showed up, when you become ready as a student?

So. Thank you for joining me on this bonus episode. I am trialing this new concept. Let me know if there's [00:05:00] any value in this, how would you like it, and potentially what these episodes should be titled. Thank you.
